Multiple locations or entrances

Some events have multiple locations or different entrances. For example, a ceremony in one place and a reception at another location, or a large building with several entrances.

The Directions button in an online invitation can only point to one location. It is therefore important to add extra explanation in the invitation itself.

Choose one main location for directions

Always enter the most important location in the event details. This is usually the place where guests should arrive first. When guests click the Directions button, the navigation app will automatically open this destination.

Explain other locations in the invitation text

If different parts of the event take place at different places, it is best to explain this in Text 2 of the invitation. This helps guests understand exactly where they need to be and at what time.

For example:

14:00 — Ceremony
City Hall Chapel, Market Square 1

16:00 — Reception
Restaurant De Orangerie, Parklaan 12

Placing the location directly under each part of the program keeps the schedule clear and easy to follow.

When using multiple locations, always choose one clear main location for the Directions button. Use the invitation text to explain additional locations or entrances.

Important for large venues

For large buildings, parks or event venues it can also be helpful to mention the correct entrance or parking area. Navigation usually brings guests to the main address, but not always to the correct entrance.

You can add additional information such as:

  • “Entrance via the garden side”
  • “Parking at P2 next to the main entrance”
  • “Follow the signs to hall B from the parking area”

This helps guests know exactly where to go once they arrive.
