Some events consist of several parts with different starting times. For example a ceremony, reception and party. In an online invitation you can easily explain this clearly in the program.
The Add to calendar button, however, only uses one date and one time. Always use the start of the program for this. This way guests know when the event begins and the correct start time appears in their calendar.

Describe the program clearly
List the different parts of the program in the invitation itself, for example in the program or instructions text field. Placing the times on separate lines keeps the schedule clear.
For example:
14:00 — Welcome
14:30 — Ceremony
16:00 — Reception
18:00 — Dinner
21:00 — Party
This allows guests to see the full schedule at a glance, while the calendar automatically uses the first start time.
Different guests, different times
Sometimes different groups of guests are invited to different parts of the program. For example only family for a ceremony and a larger group for the party. In that case it is often clearer to use multiple invitations.
You can easily duplicate an existing invitation via the menu (⁝) in the dashboard. After copying it, adjust the event details such as the date or time for that group of guests.
You can then send each invitation to the appropriate group. This ensures everyone receives the correct information and the correct time in their calendar.
The calendar feature uses a so-called .ics file. This is a standard format supported by almost all calendar apps. The file contains the date, time, location and link to the event so calendars can add it automatically.
