No full address available

Sometimes the full address of a location is not yet known. For example when an event takes place on an estate, in a park, at a beach location or in a venue where you only know the name. In that case you can often still set a good location in the event details.

The location field uses Google address recognition. This means you can search not only by street names but also by the name of a company, building or well-known place.

Searching for a location by name or place in the event details of an online invitation

Search by the name of a location

Start typing the name of a location in the location field. Google often recognizes well-known buildings, companies or event venues and shows suggestions that you can select.

Examples:

  • “Hotel New York Rotterdam”
  • “Strandpaviljoen Paal 17 Texel”
  • “Kasteel de Haar”
  • “DeFabrique Utrecht”

By selecting a location from the list, the address is automatically linked to map apps. Guests can then easily navigate using the Directions button.

Search by place name

If the exact location is not yet known, you can also search by a city, area or park. This is less precise, but it can be sufficient until the exact address becomes available.

Examples:

  • “Amsterdamse Bos”
  • “Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe”
  • “Scheveningen”

Update later

Once the exact address becomes known, you can easily update the location via the menu (⁝) in the dashboard next to your invitation. The Directions button in the online invitation will then automatically use the updated location.
