Replying to a guestbook message

In the guestbook, guests can do more than just post new messages. You can also reply to a message from someone else. This creates a short conversation under an existing message.

This can be useful, for example, to thank someone for their message or to add additional information.

Posting a reply

Below each message there is a button labeled Reply. Click this to write a response.

The reply is placed under the original message, making it clear which message it responds to.

A short reply to messages from guests makes the guestbook more personal and shows that messages are actually being read.

When replying is useful

Replying can be used, for example, to thank a guest for their message or to respond briefly to a memory or photo that someone has shared.

This way, the guestbook becomes more than just a collection of messages. It also becomes a place where guests can respond to each other.

Where replies are visible

Replies appear under the message they respond to. Everyone who has access to the guestbook can view these replies.

With the settings public and private, replies are also visible in the guestbook that guests see themselves. With hidden, the messages and replies are only visible to you in the dashboard.
