Sometimes an event includes several parts during the same day. For example, a ceremony followed by drinks, or a gathering followed by dinner or a party.
By writing these moments in a compact and clear way, guests immediately understand what to expect.
Use a simple timeline
The clearest way is to list the moments underneath each other with the time in front. This creates a small timeline that is easy to scan.
- 14:30 – arrival
- 15:00 – ceremony
- 16:30 – drinks
- 18:00 – dinner
Placing the times on the left helps guests quickly see how the day unfolds.
Keep descriptions short
Write only what is necessary for each moment. A few words are often enough to explain what will happen.
Long descriptions make the program harder to read, especially on a phone.
Include only relevant moments
You do not need to mention every detail of the day. Guests usually only need the most important parts.
For example, the start of the event, the key activities, and roughly when the program ends.
Add short extra information if needed
If guests need specific information for a certain moment, you can add a short note.
- 16:30 – drinks (in the garden)
- 18:00 – dinner (inside)
This keeps the program compact but still clear.
Check how it looks on mobile
Because the program is written as a list, it usually works well on a phone. Guests can quickly scan the times without reading long paragraphs.
