In an online invitation, you may sometimes want to show a company logo or mention a brand name. For example, when an event is organized by a company, takes place at a specific venue, or is supported by a partner. In many cases this is allowed, but it is important to consider trademark rights and usage rights.
More information about rights and content usage can be found in the terms and conditions of Eventinfo.pro.
Using your own company logo
Are you organizing the event on behalf of a company or organization? Then you can usually use your own logo in the invitation. For example:
- a company party or anniversary
- a workshop or seminar by your organization
- an invitation on behalf of an association or foundation
Because the logo belongs to your own organization, you may include it in the invitation.
Logos of other organizations
Do you want to use the logo of another organization, for example a sponsor, partner, or venue? Then check whether you have permission to do so. In many cases this is not a problem when the logo is used to make a collaboration or location clear.
Only use the logo when:
- the organization is involved in the event
- you have received permission to use the logo
- the logo is not changed or distorted
Mentioning brand names
Mentioning a brand name in a text is usually allowed when this is done factually. For example, when you write that an event takes place at a certain venue or is organized by a company.
Be careful not to use a brand name in a misleading way. It should remain clear who the organizer of the event is.
When it is better not to use a logo
Do not use logos of organizations that have nothing to do with the event or when you are not sure whether you are allowed to use the logo. This also applies to well-known brands, clubs, or companies whose logo use may be protected.
